
Biography
Scott Rogers is a Canadian visual artist who also writes about art and curates. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally and has participated in artist residencies in the Yukon, Iceland, Berlin, Saskatoon, the Crowsnest Pass and at the Banff Centre. Upcoming projects include exhibitions at The Soap Factory (Minneapolis), Nuit Blanche (Toronto, collaboration with Jason de Haan), Stride Gallery (Calgary), Khyber ICA (Halifax) and Artcite (Windsor). In July 2009 Scott is co-curating (with Renato Vitic) the exhibition Base Camp at Truck Gallery (Calgary) which will turn the gallery over to four artists who will develop public projects outside the space. Additionally, Scott is a founding member of the collaborative suburban art project the Arbour Lake Sghool and co-curates Pocket Projects (an artist multiples commissioning project) with Jason de Haan.
Scott is also the recipient of grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.
