I am a Canadian visual artist who also writes about art and curates. My work consists primarily of site-specific, context sensitive and collaborative projects which examine and critique architecture, identity, pedagogy and the nature and politics of creative activity. My recent interests have focused on experimental collaborations with artists and viewers and architectural interventions investigating the possible subjectivity of built environments.
The splash page of this website consists of a series of image and text-based works which are randomly selected from an archive of images each time you enter the site. Over time I will be using this format to post new material of my own as well as present work by other artists.
The portfolio section of this site is organized as an arbitrary rating system of my work. Intentionally (and with definite self-deprecation) I have chosen to include works which I feel represent the diversity of my practice - from the most interesting and successfully realized projects to the "ones that got away." Whether these ratings are accurate is pure conjecture and I welcome feedback on the subject.
