As part of the exhibition Reconstructures at Forest City Gallery Temporary Planning utilized the window of the gallery to produce a labyrinthine suburban map. This complex temporary drawing was further enhanced by the various shadows which it cast throughout the gallery during the day and night. The piece drew attention to suburban banality and proposed that even the mundane cul-de-sacs of suburbia are much more varied than the way we often think of them. Although, the piece was quite beautiful I believe this installation of the work would have been much better if the map was drawn from actual sources, as it was I made it up from my memory. Further exhibitions of this work will be developed directly from actual maps.
